We should totally link to this!

I found this video a couple weeks ago (I think) from the Huffington Post RSS feed. (yay for google reader)

My content sucks as of late. All of my blogs have been on hold more or less...

I am looking forward to things getting back to "normal" after New Years Day.

Love,
Goldie

Talkin' Tabooni? -- The "art" and "science" of talking about things that freak people out

Here's a one act you can read. (Plays are a great way of saying "I'm not saying, I'm just saying"

SCENE: Inside sparsely decorated corner apartment overlooking a beautiful Fall to Winter park.

BLONDIE A mean spirited, deeply enraged, slightly dyslexic 30 year old woman is sitting on the couch in front of her computer. She is talking on the phone: What's that you say? Sperm made contact with your egg and so the miracle of life is happening inside your uterus?

OFF STAGE You can hear the woman on the other line talking to Blondie

RETINA an elegant, dignified and grossly attractive lady with an appetite for deep religious thinking and exquisite taste in men:
Can you believe it? Isn't this great?

Blondie:
Gimme a break.

RETINA:
OH my god! Oh my god! Oh my god. Who do you think you are? You are a monster! I am giving birth! In 9 months I will be holding a baby! I didn't want to tell you! I'm pregnant and really confused! I hate you!

BLONDIE:
Wow. I'm sorry. You told me because you wanted me to be happy for you? How weird.

RETINA:
I am not seeking your approval! This is a big deal for me and I wanted to share it with you.

BLONDIE:
Really?

THE END

There really is no nice way to tell someone you are not impressed with their euphoric expression of fulfillment.

So don't say anything? Ever? Only behind people's backs (oh and those paranoids really hate it when you do that, know why? because that means they wouldn't be paranoid. They'd be clairvoyants.)

Just don't say anything at all. Because(and I quote from someone who really knows what they are talking about - not.)"what makes someone a friend is their respect for you as a human being and an individual.". SO by not saying anything I am respecting their right to do whatever they want. But if I don't also celebrate the news am I also not respecting my friend?

Non-breeders have rights. Do they have the right to remain silent?

I don't think so...

Breeders have the entire greeting card industry, the catholic church and the tax system behind them. Do they really need a Non-breeder's support?

Holy crap.

Maybe one reason pregnant women freak out if they aren't met with the warmest wishes of joy and happiness is because of a thing called cellular memory. Something in their DNA is telling them "WAIT!, Don't rush into this! It's really, really, really, really important for you to have a large quantity of support on this matter of creating a new human!".

Does anyone want to help clarify this issue for me?

Just to make things a little bit more confusing:

unorganized manifesto du jour and "Nailed It"

here's some stuff for me to sort out some other day!:

If I do not spend time in self reflection about my thoughts, beliefs and actions I will not live a morally responsible life.

In order for me to solidify my beliefs I might need to spend a great deal of time acting in accordance to that belief or it's opposite.

Honesty is deeply important.
Honesty is NOT truth but it essential in discovering what is true.
Truth can be transitory.

My nature does stem from a Christian upbringing. I must find out for myself which of the Christian values are important to me.

I want to know what it is like to live without the belief that there is a higher order to things.

Commonplace Nonsese: Everything happens for a reason.

Everything happens. But not because your actions are predestined or because there is a progressive path that the world is travelling on.

THOUGHTS DO NOT IMPACT THE PHYSICAL WORLD, actions do.

Greed is the number one driving force behind poverty, disease and social inequality in America.

Feel guilt for poor actions . Do not feel guilt for enjoying a life unimagined by our ancestors. If we are acting socially responsible we will not feel bad for not aspiring to "the status quo".

Living below the poverty line is not a result of being lazy.
Income does not indicate a persons worth.

A woman president who is a member of the corrupt system will not help women.

Health care is love. Providing health care to every human in America is like giving every human in America a hug that makes them a better person.

Cats are the missing link for evidence of alien life on earth.
The number 23 is just a number.
The Internet is not evil.

I'm greedy. You're greedy.

greed·y (grē'dē) pronunciation
adj., -i·er, -i·est.

1. Excessively desirous of acquiring or possessing, especially wishing to possess more than what one needs or deserves.
2. Wanting to eat or drink more than one can reasonably consume; gluttonous.
3. Extremely eager or desirous: greedy for the opportunity to prove their ability.

[Middle English gredi, from Old English grǣdig.]
greedily greed'i·ly adv.
greediness greed'i·ness n.

For want of a better phrase! or “shared by all.”

vul·gar (vŭl'gər) pronunciation
adj.
  1. Crudely indecent.
    1. Deficient in taste, delicacy, or refinement.
    2. Marked by a lack of good breeding; boorish. See synonyms at common.
    3. Offensively excessive in self-display or expenditure; ostentatious: the huge vulgar houses and cars of the newly rich.
  2. Spoken by or expressed in language spoken by the common people; vernacular: the technical and vulgar names for an animal species.
  3. Of or associated with the great masses of people; common.

[Middle English, from Latin vulgāris, from vulgus, the common people.]

vulgarly vul'gar·ly adv.
vulgarness vul'gar·ness n.

WORD HISTORY The word vulgar now brings to mind off-color jokes and offensive epithets, but it once had more neutral meanings. Vulgar is an example of pejoration, the process by which a word develops negative meanings over time. The ancestor of vulgar, the Latin word vulgāris (from vulgus, “the common people”), meant “of or belonging to the common people, everyday,” as well as “belonging to or associated with the lower orders.” Vulgāris also meant “ordinary,” “common (of vocabulary, for example),” and “shared by all.” An extension of this meaning was “sexually promiscuous,” a sense that could have led to the English sense of “indecent.” Our word, first recorded in a work composed in 1391, entered English during the Middle English period, and in Middle English and later English we find not only the senses of the Latin word mentioned above but also related senses. What is common may be seen as debased, and in the 17th century we begin to find instances of vulgar that make explicit what had been implicit. Vulgar then came to mean “deficient in taste, delicacy, or refinement.” From such uses vulgar has continued to go downhill, and at present “crudely indecent” is among the commonest senses of the word. Little Gandhi's

I have to practice some things with people I do not agree with:

1. Treat them as a friend

Treat them as friend? I do not treat my friends as sweetly I do my enemy sometimes. When I am trying to persuade someone I am in disagreement with I become so good.

2. Use a strength based approach to discussing their attitude or behavior.

I can not personally attack them or their ideas. Name calling never got anyone anywhere. When I feel attacked I shut down. I am not open to sharing my thoughts or feelings. Sometimes when I am attacked I want to strike back and am unable to listen to "reason".

Why bother with Web 2.0?

What ever happened to "Noble Resolve"?

Here is an article from Portland Independent Media Center, the thoughtful folks who brought us the imagined Atom Bomb drop in NW P-town:

Steel Bridge in Portland, Oregon (the "dirty bomb" target of TOPOFF4 this month)

I heard about this on the radio (AM620) and the words "i guess it's real because it's on the radio" actually crossed my mind.

Jesus Du Jour

I can not quit Jesus. I can't quit him!

Rather than focus on Black Jesus, a topic nones of you give a damn about, I am going to talk about my Jesus Du Jour.

My new blog idea du jour is:

Jesus Du Jour -- The Blog!!!

My pick for Jesus #1 is Google. Google is the modern day saviour. Google is everywhere around us. Google is also inside of us.

Aaahhhh! Praise! (hands held in open praise face tilted towards the sky)

Did you ever see the movie "Stigmata" starring Patricial Arquette? If you haven't you need to.

Web 2.0 is The Holy Ghost.

Black Jesus Walks

In order for Black Jesus to exist
you need to believe.
-- Saint Goldie

Many people of varied demographics carry a flame for that one last magic trick: The return of Jesus. I'm not the only one. Thank you to all who voted their conscience.

When growing up has lost it's charm I long for that last resort of hopes. I want the supernatural to take over. I want Jesus to be black -- just like he was the first time and I want Jesus to sue God.

And I want Jesus to be in the United State Senate!

And I want Jesus to save the United States from Chapel Perilous and take spaceship earth to the Celestial Kingdom located in a Nebula.

And then the best part is my fall pick for returned Jesus, Senator Chambers, does not believe in God. YET he sued him!

I don't believe in Jesus but I want him to come back!

Black Jesus not just for Blacks anymore!

The Myth of The Black Jesus -- No longer a myth!!!
It's true.
Jesus is black and Jesus is back. AND he is a senator, from Nebraska
Senator/Saviour Ernie Chambers. He is mad as hell and isn't gonna take no more bullcrap from his dad, or as he so snidely referred to him in a legal document as God...
Signs of the times (and or tag lines):
  1. Thank you for riding The Reality Train
  2. Jesus Walks
  3. Kanye West was the phalse prophet
  4. God Vs. Jesus precident setting trial
  5. God was counting on Jesus to help him, his Son will do anything to get in his way.
